Media Contact for Belisle enters not guilty pleas on gun charges

PITTSFIELD — A Lee man was arraigned this afternoon in Berkshire Superior Court on firearm charges. 63 year old WILLIAM R. BELISLE (35 Housatonic Street) appeared before Judge Daniel Ford.
BELISLE had not guilty pleas entered on his behalf on ten (10) counts of ILLEGAL POSSESSION OF A LARGE CAPACITY FEEDING DEVICE, three (3) counts of ILLEGAL OWNERSHIP OF A RIFLE, two (2) counts of ILLEGAL OWNERSHIP OF A FIREARM, three (3) counts of IMPROPER STORAGE OF A RIFLE, two (2) counts of IMPROPER STORAGE OF A FIREARM, one (1) count of POSSESSION OF AMMUNITION WITHOUT A FIREARM IDENTIFICATION CARD and one (1) count of THREAT TO COMMIT A CRIME, TO WIT: ASSAULT BY MEANS OF A DANGEROUS WEAPON. Judge Ford released him on personal recognizance.
The charges stem from the execution of a search warrant at BELISLE’S home on September 27, 2018.
The investigation was conducted by members of the Lee Police Department.
