Press Release  Belland pleads guilty, gets jail and probation

PITTSFIELDAn Adams man pleaded guilty this afternoon in Berkshire Superior Court to several charges.  27 year old KEITH DAVID BELAND appeared before Judge John Agostini. 

BELAND pleaded guilty to one (1) count of ASSAULT AND BATTERY SERIOUS BODILY INJURY and one (1) count of RESISTING ARREST.  Judge Agostini ordered that he serve 117 days of a 2 and a half year sentence to the Berkshire County House of Correction on the charge of ASSAULT AND BATTERY SERIOUS BODILY INJURY.  BELAND was also placed on 1 year probation on the condition he remain drug and alcohol free and have no contact with the victim during the probationary period.  BELAND was given a concurrent 90 day house of correction sentence on the other charge.              

BELAND assaulted a 24 year old man in Adams on May 14, 2017.       

The investigation was conducted by members of the Adams Police Department.
