- Berkshire District Attorney's Office
BERKSHIRE COUNTY — The Berkshire District Attorney’s Office co-hosted an event with Community Legal Aid on Nov. 9 to share information and raise awareness about expunging and sealing criminal records.
People who have criminal records are still entitled to live their lives productively. Criminal records can negatively impact access to employment, housing, financial assistance, and higher education.
The Berkshire District Attorney’s Office presented record sealing and expungement, how the process works, and what determines a person’s eligibility at a recent community event. Community Legal Aid provided a presentation on “Knowing Your Rights” when it comes to record sealing and expungement and provided crucial information for those with criminal records applying to jobs and housing.
