On March 28, 2025, American Legion Post 86 and Old Colony Hospice hosted a "Welcome Home" event for Vietnam Veterans at the Braintree Veterans Center. The gathering paid heartfelt tribute to those who served during the Vietnam War, offering long-overdue recognition and gratitude.
Guest speaker Mayor Erin Joyce honored the veterans’ service and sacrifice in her remarks, while musician Terry White performed live music that added to the atmosphere of reflection and appreciation. The event included a moment of silence to remember all departed veterans, keeping their contributions present alongside those who attended.
