JC Jones Anderson will serve on national board in pivotal role.

JC Jones Anderson, a Reentry Services Coordinator at the Brockton Community Justice Support Center, has been appointed to a two-year term as a member of the United States Sentencing Commission’s newly-established Sentence Impact Advisory Group.

Mr. Anderson, whose term begins September 1st and ends August 31, 2027, is “responsible for helping judges set fair and just sentences.”

As an Advisory Group member, his duties will also include reviewing and revising guidelines; providing views on the Commission’s “activities and work;” and helping to disseminate information on federal sentencing issues to name a few.

In his role at the Brockton CJSC, Mr. Anderson works with people who have been formerly incarcerated, on probation, or voluntarily visit the center to receive support such as help with resume writing, job placement, and assistance with housing or health insurance enrollment through MassHealth.
