On February 22, 2025, Hellfish Haven and VFW Post 443 partnered to host a Coffee & Camaraderie event at the North Attleboro post, providing a welcoming and sober space for veterans and their families. More than just a coffee gathering, this event fostered meaningful connections, support networks, and a sense of belonging for those who have served.
Veterans enjoyed engaging in various activities, including board games, video games, and open discussions, creating a space to unwind and build community. The event also provided an opportunity for veterans to join VFW Post 443, further strengthening veteran advocacy and support. Additionally, Hellfish Haven shared essential VA resources, including mental health tools and PTSD support services, ensuring veterans and their families had access to critical assistance.
Due to its overwhelming success, Coffee & Camaraderie is now a monthly event. The next gathering is set for March 22 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at VFW Post 443 (50 Jefferson St, North Attleboro). Veterans and their families are encouraged to attend, connect, and take advantage of the supportive environment.
Programs like these play a crucial role in strengthening veteran communities, ensuring they receive the support, recognition, and resources they deserve.
