On June 11, 2025, the waters off Sesuit Harbor in East Dennis became a place of camaraderie, joy, and healing as 46 veterans set out for an afternoon of fishing with Captain Chip Carroll and Albatross Fishing. Hosted by CIVOC, the trip offered far more than just the thrill of reeling in flounder. It was an opportunity to connect, share stories, and experience the serene peace of the open water.

The day was bright with sunshine, laughter, and the unmistakable sound of lines hitting the water. With the help of Peter Doonan and Laura Sears from the CIVOC Outreach Team, every detail was taken care of, ensuring the veterans could fully relax and enjoy the experience.

For many, these outings are more than recreation. They are a reminder that they are part of a strong, supportive community that values their service and well-being. By the end of the trip, coolers were full, spirits were lifted, and friendships were strengthened.
