Press Release  Chadwell facing murder charges in 2017 shooting

PITTSFIELD — A Pittsfield man was arraigned this morning in Central Berkshire District Court on a murder charge.  39 year old J C CHADWELL (62 Seymour Street) appeared before Judge Mark Pasquariello. 

CHADWELL entered a not guilty plea on one (1) count of MURDER.  Judge Pasquariello ordered that he be held at the Berkshire County House of Correction without the right to bail.  CHADWELL will be back in Court, for a pre-trial hearing, on March 14^th. 

It is alleged that CHADWELL shot 39 year old Paul Henry, of Pittsfield, on July 4, 2017.  The incident is alleged to have occurred on John Street in the vicinity of Durant Park.      

The investigation was conducted by members of the Pittsfield Police Department Detective Bureau with assistance from the Berkshire County Sheriff’s Department, State Police Detectives assigned to the District Attorney’s Office, members of the Berkshire Law Enforcement Task Force and the Massachusetts State Police Firearms Identification Section.
