Press Release  Clayton is arraigned on sexual assault charges

PITTSFIELD — A Pittsfield man was arraigned this afternoon in Berkshire Superior Court on several charges.  48 year old TOBY CLAYTON (450 Fenn Street) appeared before Judge John Agostini. 

CLAYTON had not guilty pleas entered on his behalf on three (3) counts of RAPE AND ABUSE OF A CHILD AGGRAVATED BY AN AGE DIFFERENCE and two (2) counts of INDECENT ASSAULT AND BATTERY ON A CHILD UNDER 14.  Judge Agostini released him on personal recognizance on the condition CLAYTON have no contact with the alleged victim.           

The incidents are alleged to have occurred in Pittsfield between December 1, 2015 and December 31, 2016.  The alleged victim is a girl who is now 10 years of age.        

The investigation was conducted by members of the Pittsfield Police Department.
