The event at Second Church of Dorchester in Codman Square on Saturday featured a panel discussion-style interview with Commissioner Ifill by a Prophetic Resistance member.

Commissioner Ifill spoke about Probation’s reentry housing and the Community Justice Support Centers.

He also shared details about Probation’s transformation into an agency that focuses less on punitive measures and more on the individual needs of clients, ie: housing, drug testing, counseling, educational and job training, and enrollment in MassHealth.

Prophetic Resistance is a “group of Black and Latino pastors and congregation members who have moved from within the four walls of the church to engage communities of color in Boston by listening to their individual stories and moving those collective stories to action.”
