Cape and Islands DistrictConviction Integrity

Any defendant, or attorney who represented or currently represents a convicted defendant, who believes there is a wrongful conviction or a conviction with some infirmity not addressed by the appellate process should contact the Cape and Islands District Attorney’s Office and submit an outline of the infirmity, wrongful conviction or newly discovered evidence.  We encourage a defendant to seek the legal services of an experienced criminal defense attorney in this endeavor as our Code of Ethics bars us from providing legal advice.  The outline should provide the grounds and details on which the claim of wrongful conviction, or newly discovered evidence is based.  The Cape and Islands District Attorney’s Office will review the same.  The Cape and Islands District Attorney’s Office is dedicated to careful review and taking remedial action as necessary.

Thank you for visiting the website for the Cape & Islands District Attorney's Office. It has been my distinct pleasure to serve the people of the Cape & Islands as District Attorney since January, 2003. Our Office prosecutes over 15,000 criminal cases every year. The dedicated and professional prosecutors and support staff members who work in this Office are here to serve the public, and seek justice in an aggressive and fair manner on behalf of the victims of crime. We see ourselves as problem-solvers, not merely as case-processors. Again, thank you for visiting our website. If you have any concerns, not addressed here, or need to contact us, please feel free to call at (508) 362-8113.
