In February, Cape & Islands Veterans Outreach Center (CIVOC) partnered with KAM Appliances to host a special hands-on cooking class for veterans, helping them create healthy, budget-friendly meals using food pantry staples. Led by Chef Linda, the event brought vets together to cook dishes like pizza, marinara, ramen, and chili—turning simple ingredients into delicious meals while fostering friendship and community.

A highlight of the day was celebrating WWII veteran Joe’s 97th birthday. Veterans and volunteers alike joined in honoring Joe, whose service and sacrifice continue to inspire. From all of us at EOVS, we wish him the happiest and healthiest of birthdays!
