Massachusetts Attorney General Andrea J. Campbell will be the featured speaker at the 6th Annual Massachusetts Trial Court Women’s History Month Ceremony and Conference on Wednesday, March 11, at the Skating Club of Boston in Norwood.

Attorney General Campbell is among 10 trailblazing women who will be honored at the event, co-hosted by Massasoit Community College. This year’s theme is “Leading the Change: Women Shaping a Sustainable Future.”

Elected in 2023, Ms. Campbell is the 45th Attorney General of Massachusetts and the first Black woman to hold the office, which is responsible for civil rights enforcement, consumer protection, and criminal justice matters. She previously served as Boston City Council President, becoming the first Black woman to hold that role.

Other honorees include:

  • Honorable Ina Howard-Hogan, First Justice, Lynn District Court
  • Valerie Taylor, Assistant Chief Probation Officer, Middlesex Probate & Family Court
  • Tenley E. Albright, surgeon, Olympic gold medalist figure skater, and Director of MIT Collaborative Initiatives
  • Denyse Bardouille, MPS’s first Black female Probation Officer
  • Serena Murray and Smirna Duarte Oliveria Silva, Massasoit Community College student leaders who are studying sustainability issues
  • Toy Burton, founder of DeeDee’s Cry Suicide Prevention & Family Support
  • Nancy Schneider and Enith Levine (posthumous), co-founders of Dress for Success Boston

The day-long celebration will include an awards ceremony recognizing honorees for their leadership and contributions to shaping a sustainable future — socially, economically, and environmentally — followed by a women’s empowerment conference featuring panel discussions, informative workshops, engaging conversations, and networking opportunities.

Register for the ceremony, and/or register for the conference.
