The Office of Consumer Affairs and Business Regulation announced today that the Courtney Rose Hickson Outstanding Attorney Award has been presented to Jean Farrington, an attorney for the Division of Insurance.

Ms. Hickson was an attorney for the Department of Telecommunications and Cable who tragically passed away on February 7, 2018. The Courtney Hickson Outstanding Attorney Award honors those individuals who display Ms. Hickson’s many admirable qualities through excellence in their field of practice, leadership, teamwork and commitment to community.

A presentation of the award took place on November 15, 2018 at the Office of Consumer Affairs and Business Regulation.

“Today’s ceremony serves a dual purpose: to honor a life very well lived, with a great amount of service to our community, and to celebrate one of the very best attorneys in our agencies,” said Office of Consumer Affairs and Business Regulation Undersecretary John Chapman. “Courtney was a beloved member of the Department of Telecommunications and Cable and she is greatly missed. This award will continue to celebrate the great work that our employees do, and with it, Courtney’s memory.”
