Press Release  Crump sent to prison on a drug charge

PITTSFIELDA Canaan, Connecticut man pleaded guilty this afternoon in Berkshire Superior Court to several charges.  41 year old MICHAEL CRUMP appeared before Judge Mark Mason. 

CRUMP pleaded guilty to one (1) count of POSSESSION OF HEROIN WITH INTENT TO DISTRIBUTE and one (1) count of OPERATING A MOTOR VEHICLE WITH A SUSPENDED LICENSE.  Judge Mason ordered him to serve a 2 to 3 year state prison sentence to the Massachusetts Correctional Institution at Cedar Junction on the charge of POSSESSION OF HEROIN WITH INTENT TO DISTRIBUTE.  CRUMP was given a 10 day concurrent house of correction sentence on the motor vehicle offense.      

The charges stem from a motor vehicle stop in Great Barrington on June 1, 2016.

The investigation was conducted by members of the Great Barrington Police Department.
