SALEMEssex County District Attorney Paul F. Tucker today released the following statement after receiving the state Civil Service Commission report analyzing police hiring practices in the City of Methuen:

“My team and I have read the report the Commission sent us Thursday. We will work diligently to review each finding and recommendation. We will take any appropriate action, including consulting with other state and federal agencies, if appropriate.

We appreciate the Commission’s thorough work, as well as the earlier report prepared by the Office of the Inspector General.”
