On June 15, 2025, members of DAV Chapter 7 in New Bedford came together to celebrate the 100th birthday of one of their own, Chief Alden Blake. A beloved and respected member of the chapter, Chief Blake was honored for his lifetime of service, dedication, and enduring impact on the veteran community.
During the celebration, Chief Blake was presented with a certificate of recognition from Massachusetts Governor Maura Healey. This special presentation acknowledged not only his centennial milestone but also his decades of unwavering commitment to his country and community.
