Press Release  Deordio arraigned on sexual assault charge

Pittsfield —  A North Adams man was arraigned this morning in Berkshire Superior Court on a sexual assault charge.  43 year old ANTHONY K. DEORDIO appeared before Judge John Agostini.

DEORDIO had a not guilty plea entered on his behalf on one (1) count of RAPE AND ABUSE OF A CHILD AGGRAVATED BY AN AGE DIFFERENCE.  Judge Agostini ordered that he be held at the Berkshire County House of Correction on $10,000 bail.       

The incident is alleged to have occurred in North Adams on November 1, 2017 and allegedly involved an 8 year old girl.        

The investigation was conducted by members of the North Adams Police Department and State Troopers assigned to the District Attorney’s Office, members of the Berkshire Law Enforcement Task Force with the assistance of the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
