PITTSFIELDA North Adams man was arraigned this morning in Berkshire Superior Court on several charges.  32 year old BRIAN D. DILLARD appeared before Judge John Agostini. 

DILLARD had not guilty pleas entered on his behalf on one (1) count of MOTOR VEHICLE HOMICIDE BY NEGLIGENT OPERATION, one (1) count of LEAVING THE SCENE OF A PERSONAL INJURY ACCIDENT DEATH RESULTING, one (1) count of LEAVING THE SCENE OF A PROPERTY DAMAGE ACCIDENT, one (1) count of NEGLIGENT OPERATION OF A MOTOR VEHICLE, one (1) count of USE OF A MOTOR VEHICLE WITHOUT AUTHORITY and one (1) count of OPERATING A MOTOR VEHICLE WITH A SUSPENDED LICENSE.  Judge Agostini ordered that he be held at the Berkshire County House of Correction without the right to bail.       

It is alleged that DILLARD was driving a motor vehicle which collided with a motor cycle in Pittsfield on August 24, 2018.  The operator of the motor cycle, 49 year old Alan Keefe of Pittsfield, died as a result of injuries sustained in the crash.       

The investigation was conducted by members of the Pittsfield and North Adams Police Departments.
