Press Release  Dixon appears in Court on child pornography charges

Pittsfield — A Pittsfield man was arraigned this morning in Berkshire Superior Court on several charges.  34 year old RICHARD E. DIXON appeared before Judge John Agostini. 

DIXON had not guilty pleas entered on his behalf on one (1) count of POSSESSION OF CHILD PORNOGRAPHY and one (1) count of DISSEMINATION OF VISUAL MATERIAL OF A CHILD IN A STATE OF NUDITY OR SEXUAL CONDUCT.  Judge Agostini ordered that he be held at the Berkshire County House of Correction on $5,000 bail and was prohibited from using the internet.    

It is alleged that DIXON was in possession of child pornography in Pittsfield between August 23, 2018 and September 14, 2018.  It is also alleged he distributed child pornography on August 26, 2018.    

The investigation was conducted by state police detectives assigned to the District Attorney’s Office and the New Jersey State Police Digital Technology Investigation Unit.
