PittsfieldA North Adams man pleaded guilty this afternoon in Berkshire Superior Court to drug charges.  34 year old ROBERT J. DONNELLY III appeared before Judge Daniel Ford. 

DONNELLY pleaded guilty to one (1) count of POSSESSION OF HEROIN (2nd offense) and one (1) count of POSSESSION OF A CLASS E SUBSTANCE.  Judge Ford ordered that he serve an 18 month sentence at the Berkshire County House of Correction on the charge of POSSESSION OF HEROIN (2nd offense).  DONNELLY was given a 6 month concurrent house of correction sentence on the other charge.         

The charges stem from an incident in North Adams on August 14, 2017. 

The investigation was conducted by members of the North Adams Police Department.
