Pittsfield — A Pittsfield man was arraigned this afternoon in Berkshire Superior Court on drug and other charges. 27 year old DENNIS P. DUCHARME, JR. appeared before Judge John Agostini.
DUCHARME had not guilty pleas entered on his behalf on one (1) count of TRAFFICKING IN HEROIN, one (1) count of TRAFFICKING IN COCAINE, one (1) count of CONSPIRACY TO VIOLATE DRUG LAWS, one (1) count of INDUCING OR ABETTING A MINOR TO DISTRIBUTE CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE and one (1) count of INTIMIDATION OF A WITNESS OR OTHER PERSON. Judge Agostini ordered that he be held at the Berkshire County House of Correction on $100,000 bail.
The charges stem from an ongoing investigation into illegal drug activity in Pittsfield and allegedly occurred on May 16, 2018.
The investigation was conducted by members of the Pittsfield Police Department, the Berkshire County Sheriff’s Office and state troopers assigned to the District Attorney’s Office, members of the Berkshire Law Enforcement Task Force.
