Press Release  Dufur pleads guilty, sent to jail on B&E and other charges

PITTSFIELDAn Adams man pleaded guilty this afternoon in Berkshire Superior Court to several charges. 30 year old SHAUN M. DUFUR appeared before Judge John Agostini.

DUFUR pleaded guilty to one (1) count of BREAKING AND ENTERING A BUILDING IN THE DAYTIME WITH INTENT TO COMMIT A FELONY, one (1) count of CONSPIRACY, TO WIT: BREAKING AND ENTERING A BUILDING IN THE DAYTIME WITH INTENT TO COMMIT A FELONY, one (1) count of LARCENY FROM A BUILDING and one (1) count of WANTON DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY. Judge Agostini ordered that he serve a 2 and a half year sentence at the Berkshire County House of Correction on the BREAKING AND ENTERING A BUILDING IN THE DAYTIME WITH INTENT TO COMMIT A FELONY charge. DUFUR was given concurrent 2 year house of correction sentences, to be served after the first sentence, on the other charges.

DUFUR broke into a home in Hancock on May 9, 2017.

The investigation was conducted by state troopers from the Cheshire barracks.

(Note: DUFUR was serve 4 and a half years at the Berkshire County House of Correction.)
