Massachusetts Probation Service (MPS) employees from the Essex Juvenile Court— Lynn and Salem offices—and Lynn District Court joined forces to host a food and clothing drive for Lynn Community Fridge and the Lynn Community Closet organizations.

The MPS employees fully stocked the fridge and food pantry with pasta, rice, canned goods, oatmeal, granola bars, etc., according to April Anderson, Lynn Juvenile Court Probation Officer. The team also donated multiple bags and boxes of all season clothing with sizes for infants through adults to the Community Closet.

“We believe that supporting basic needs is one of the most powerful ways to give,” said Ms. Anderson.

The Community Fridge is a mutual aid project offered by the City of Lynn and supplies free and accessible food to Lynn residents. The Lynn Community Closet is offered by the Lynn Family Resource Center.
