Essex Juvenile Probation Department staff represented the Massachusetts Probation Service at the Haverhill YMCA Summer Kick-Off on June 25th.

Essex Juvenile Probation employees set up a table and distributed information on court resources such as the MPS brochure, MPS-marked pens, stress/ squishy stars, and hand sanitizers as well provided snack bags which included Goldfish crackers, potato chips, pretzels, Charm pops, Hershey candy bars, and water at the community engagement event held at Swasey Field in Haverhill.

Probation Officer Jennie Galvin arranged and coordinated a game of Yard Pong for the children to participate in. Yard Pong features bucket-size cups and lightweight plastic balls with the goal to toss or bounce the balls into the opposing team's buckets to eliminate them.

“We are so fortunate at ECJC to have staff that are engaged in the communities we serve,” said Staci Gergely, Essex Juvenile Assistant Chief Probation Officer.
