Press Release  Farnum placed on probation, must undergo drug counseling

PittsfieldA Pittsfield woman pleaded guilty this afternoon in Berkshire Superior Court to several charges.  40 year old SIMONE M. FARNUM appeared before Judge John Agostini. 

FARNUM pleaded guilty to one (1) count of DISTRIBUTION OF HEROIN, one (1) count of CONSPIRACY TO VIOLATE DRUG LAWS, TO WIT: DISTRIBUTION OF HEROIN, one (1) count of DISTRIBUTION OF COCAINE and one (1) count of CONSPIRACY TO VIOLATE DRUG LAWS, TO WIT: DISTRIBUTION OF COCAINE.  Judge Agostini gave her concurrent 18 month suspended jail sentences.  He also placed FARNUM on one year probation on the condition she remain drug free and undergo drug testing and counseling during the probationary period.          

The charges stem from the sale of heroin and cocaine in Pittsfield on August 17, 2017. 

The investigation was conducted by members of the Pittsfield Police Department, the Berkshire County Sheriff’s Office and state troopers assigned to the District Attorney’s Office, members of the Berkshire County Law Enforcement Task Force.
