PITTSFIELD — A Pittsfield man was arraigned this afternoon in Berkshire Superior Court on drug and gun charges. 24 year old JACOB C. FERRY (148 Onota Street) appeared before Judge John Agostini.
FERRY had not guilty pleas entered on his behalf on one (1) count of TRAFFICKING IN HEROIN, one (1) count of TRAFFICKING IN COCAINE, one (1) count of CONSPIRACY TO VIOLATE DRUG LAWS, one (1) count of ILLEGAL OWNERSHIP OF A FIREARM, RIFLE OR SHOTGUN, one (1) count of POSSESSION OF A FIREARM DURING THE COMMISSION OF A FELONY, one (1) count of IMPROPER STORAGE OF A FIREARM, RIFLE OR SHOTGUN and one (1) count of POSSESSION OF AMMUNITION WITHOUT A FIREARM IDENTIFICATION CARD. Judge Agostini released him on $5,000 bail.
The charges stem from an ongoing investigation into illegal drug activity in Pittsfield and allegedly occurred on May 16, 2018.
The investigation was conducted by members of the Pittsfield Police Department, the Berkshire County Sheriff’s Office and state troopers assigned to the District Attorney’s Office, members of the Berkshire Law Enforcement Task Force.
