PITTSFIELD — A Pittsfield man pleaded guilty in Berkshire Superior Court to several charges. 29 year old WILLIAM D. FISKE III appeared before Judge Mark Mason.
FISKE pleaded guilty Tuesday afternoon to one (1) count of BREAKING AND ENTERING A BUILDING IN THE DAYTIME WITH INTENT TO COMMIT A FELONY, one (1) count of ASSAULT BY MEANS OF A DANGEROUS WEAPON, one (1) count of LARCENY FROM A BUILDING, one (1) count of ASSAULT AND BATTERY, one (1) count of NEGLIGENT OPERATION OF A MOTOR VEHICLE, one (1) count of VANDALIZE PROPERTY, one (1) count of OPERATING A MOTOR VEHICLE WITH A SUSPENDED LICENSE and one (1) count of FAILURE TO STOP FOR A POLICE OFFICER. Those charges stem from an incident in Pittsfield on March 23, 2016 and involved a 56 year old man and two women, ages 22 and 24.
Judge Mason ordered that FISKE serve concurrent 729 day sentences (time served) at the Berkshire County House of Correction on the charges of BREAKING AND ENTERING A BUILDING IN THE DAYTIME WITH INTENT TO COMMIT A FELONY, ASSAULT BY MEANS OF A DANGEROUS WEAPON and LARCENY FROM A BUILDING. He was given concurrent 6 month sentences on the ASSAULT AND BATTERY, NEGLIGENT OPERATION OF A MOTOR VEHICLE and VANDALIZE PROPERTY charges. The other charges were placed on file.
One (1) count of ARMED ASSAULT WITH INTENT TO MURDER, one (1) count of VIOLATION OF A RESTRAINING ORDER, one (1) count of ASSAULT AND BATTERY and one (1) count of THREAT TO COMMIT A CRIME, TO WIT: MURDER were dismissed at the request of the Commonwealth.
The investigation was conducted by members of the Pittsfield Police Department.
On Wednesday morning, FISKE pleaded guilty to three (3) counts of ASSAULT AND BATTERY ON A CORRECTION OFFICER and one (1) count of THREAT TO COMMIT A CRIME, TO WIT: MURDER in connection with an incident at the Berkshire County House of Correction on May 5, 2016.
Judge Mason ordered that FISKE serve concurrent 6 month sentences at the Berkshire County House of Correction. That time will run concurrent with the sentence FISKE was given on Tuesday.
The investigation was conducted by members of the Berkshire County Sheriff’s Office.
