On June 27, 2025, veterans and community members gathered in Lynn to celebrate the return of a beloved tradition: American flags once again flying proudly along the Buchanan Bridge at Floating Bridge Pond.

Led by Ward Councilor Obed Matul and supported by the City of Lynn and the Floating Bridge Pond Association, the event honored the service of our nation’s veterans and brought neighbors together in a shared act of respect and gratitude. The reinstallation of the flags was made possible through generous community support and collaboration, showcasing the city’s deep appreciation for those who have served.
