Press Release  Forbes pleads guilty to drug charges

PITTSFIELDA Dalton man pleaded guilty this morning in Berkshire Superior Court to drug charges. 24 year old KYLE J. FORBES appeared before Judge John Agostini.

FORBES pleaded guilty to one (1) count of DISTRIBUTION OF COCAINE and one (1) count of POSSESSION OF COCAINE (2nd offense). Judge Agostini ordered that he serve 9 months of an 18 month sentence to the Berkshire County House of Correction on the charge of DISTRIBUTION OF COCAINE. FORBES was also placed on 1 year probation on the condition he refrain from using illegal drugs and undergo substance abuse counseling during the probationary period. FORBES was given a concurrent house of correction sentence on the other charge.

The charges stem from the sale of cocaine to an undercover police officer in Pittsfield on January 31, 2017.

The investigation was conducted by members of the Berkshire County Sheriff’s Department and state troopers assigned to the District Attorney’s Office, members of the Berkshire Law Enforcement Task Force.
