BostonHadler Charles, a former administrative attorney in the Office of the Commissioner of Probation, has been appointed Deputy Legal Counsel in the Administrative Office of the District Court located at the Edward E. Brooke Courthouse in Boston.

Mr. Charles first joined the Massachusetts Probation Service as an administrative attorney in the Legal Unit in September 2019.

Prior to this appointment, he served as an Assistant District Attorney in the Major Felony Bureau for the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office (SCDAO) under three District Attorneys: Dan Conley, John Pappas, and Rachael Rollins. Mr. Charles also worked in the Appellate Unit and the Roxbury and Dorchester divisions of the Boston Municipal Court (BMC) at the SCDAO’s after graduating from the Massachusetts School of Law in 2014. Mr. Charles earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology with a minor concentration in Criminal Justice from Salem State College.
