Press Release  Gombar enters not guilty pleas on assault charges

PITTSFIELD — A Chatham, New York man was arraigned this afternoon in Berkshire Superior Court on several charges.  34 year old ANDREW GOMBAR (69 Kinderhook Street) appeared before Judge John Agostini. 

GOMBAR had not guilty pleas entered on his behalf on one (1) count of ASSAULT WITH INTENT TO COMMIT RAPE and one (1) count of ASSAULT AND BATTERY.  Judge Agostini released him on $15,000 bail on the condition he have no contact with the victim.   

The charges stem from an incident in Great Barrington, involving a 19 year old woman, on January 7, 2018.    

The investigation was conducted by members of the Great Barrington Police Department.
