PITTSFIELD — A Pittsfield man pleaded guilty this afternoon in Berkshire Superior Court to two charges. 24 year old SELVIN O. GONZALEZ-CASTILLO a/k/a SELVIN CASTILLO appeared before Judge Maureen Hogan.
GONZALEZ-CASTILLO pleaded guilty to one (1) count of ARMED ASSAULT WITH INTENT TO MURDER and one (1) count of AGGRAVATED ASSAULT AND BATTERY BY MEANS OF A DANGEROUS WEAPON. Judge Hogan ordered that he serve a 2 year and 27 day to 2 year and 28 day sentence at the Massachusetts Correction Institution at Cedar Junction. GONZALEZ-CASTILLO was given credit for time served awaiting trial.
GONZALEZ-CASTILLO stabbed a 31 year old man in Pittsfield on April 23, 2016.
The investigation was conducted by members of the Pittsfield Police Department.
