PITTSFIELD — A Pittsfield man pleaded guilty this morning in Berkshire Superior Court. 25 year old BRANDON M. GREEN appeared before Judge John Agostini.
GREEN pleaded guilty to one (1) count of ARMED CAREER FELON, one (1) count of POSSESSION OF AMMUNITION WITHOUT A FIREARM IDENTIFICATION CARD and one (1) count of FAILURE TO STOP FOR A POLICE OFFICER. Judge Agostini ordered that he serve a 3 to 3 and a half year state prison sentence at the Massachusetts Correctional Institution at Cedar Junction on the ARMED CAREER FELON charge. GREEN was given a concurrent house of correction sentence on the charge of POSSESSION OF AMMUNITION WITHOUT A FIREARM IDENTIFICATION CARD. The other charge was placed on file.
The charges stem from a motor vehicle stop in Pittsfield on January 10, 2017.
One (1) count of OPERATING A MOTOR VEHICLE WITH A SUSPENDED REGISTRATION was dismissed at the request of the Commonwealth.
The investigation was conducted by state troopers assigned to the Cheshire barracks.
