PITTSFIELD — A Pittsfield man was arraigned this afternoon in Berkshire Superior Court on several charges. 22 year old BRANDON M. GRIFFIN (225 Linden Street) appeared before Judge John Agostini.
GRIFFIN had not guilty pleas entered on his behalf on one (1) count of ASSAULT BY MEANS OF A DANGEROUS WEAPON, one (1) count of ILLEGAL POSSESSION OF A FIREARM and one (1) count of DISCHARGING A FIREARM WITHIN 500 FEET OF A DWELLING in connection with an incident in Pittsfield on July 5, 2018.
GRIFFIN also had not guilty pleas entered on one (1) count of ILLEGAL POSSESSION OF A FIREARM, one (1) count of ILLEGAL POSSESSION OF A LOADED FIREARM, two (2) counts of ASSAULT AND BATTERY ON A POLICE OFFICER and one (1) count of RESISTING ARREST. Those charges occurred on July 11, 2018 in Pittsfield and were brought after police attempted to arrest GRIFFIN on a warrant from the July 5th incident.
Judge Agostini ordered that GRIFFIN be held at the Berkshire County House of Correction without the right to bail.
The investigation was conducted by members of the Pittsfield Police Department.
