News  Hampden Superior and Springfield District Probation host Community Engagement Fair

Community job and resources fair attendees speaking to booth exhibitors

The Hampden Superior and Springfield District Court Probation departments joined together to host a community resource fair featuring human service agencies, local companies, and a community college at the Roderick L. Ireland Courthouse in Springfield on Wednesday.

The event, held on the courthouse’s outside terrace, was well attended. More than 40 vendors participated in the event, according to Hampden Superior Court Chief Probation Officer Rosa Maldonado-Brown.

“Hampden County did a wonderful job and deserve credit for their hard work and commitment to the community, MPS and the Trial Court. It shows that probation officers do care!!!,” said Lorna Spencer, Superior Court Statewide Supervisor.

The following are among the community organizations that participated:

  • ROCA, Gandara Family Resource Center, New North Citizens
  • Council, Miravista, Bridges of Change, Wayfinders, Head Start, Lighthouse, Impact
  • Center Gandara, Expert Staffing, YWCA, Soldier On, Masis Staffing, and BH-JI/Behavioral
