PITTSFIELDA Watervliet, New York man pleaded guilty this afternoon in Berkshire Superior Court to several charges. 42 year old ISAAC H. HARRIS-EL appeared before Judge John Agostini.

HARRIS-EL pleaded guilty to two (2) counts of ASSAULT AND BATTERY ON A DISABLED PERSON and two (2) counts of CARETAKER ABUSE ON A DISABLED PERSON. Judge Agostini gave him a suspended 1 year jail sentence at the Berkshire County House of Correction and placed HARRIS –EL on 1 year probation on one (1) count of ASSAULT AND BATTERY ON A DISABLED PERSON and one (1) count of CARETAKER ABUSE ON A DISABLED PERSON. The other charges were continued without a finding for 1 year.

HARRIS-EL, while employed by the Eagleton School, assaulted two students. The incidents occurred between August 1, 2014 and December 31, 2015.

One (1) count of ASSAULT AND BATTERY SERIOUS BODILY INJURY, two (2) counts of CARETAKER ABUSE ON A DISABLED PERSON, one (1) counts of ASSAULT AND BATTERY ON A DISABLED PERSON, one (1) count of ASSAULT AND BATTERY BY MEANS OF A DANGEROUS WEAPON and one (1) count of ASSAULT AND BATTERY were dismissed at the request of the Commonwealth.

The investigation was conducted by members of the Great Barrington Police Department and State Police detectives assigned to the District Attorney’s Office.
