PITTSFIELDA Springfield man pleaded guilty this afternoon in Berkshire Superior Court to drug charges.  38 year old TERANCE L. HARRIS appeared before Judge John Agostini.

HARRIS pleaded guilty to one (1) count of TRAFFICKING IN COCAINE, one (1) count of POSSESSION OF HEROIN WITH INTENT TO DISTRIBUTE (2nd offense) and two (2) counts of CONSPIRACY TO VIOLATE DRUG LAWS in connection with a motor vehicle stop in Lenox on February 26, 2015.     

Judge Agostini ordered that HARRIS serve concurrent 5 to 7 year state prison sentences at the Massachusetts Correctional Institution at Cedar Junction.   

Two (2) counts of CONSPIRACY TO VIOLATE DRUG LAWS were dismissed at the request of the Commonwealth. 

The investigation was conducted by members of the Pittsfield, North Adams, Dalton and Lee Police Departments and State Troopers assigned to the District Attorney’s Office, members of the Berkshire Law Enforcement Task Force, the Federal Bureau of Investigation and Drug Enforcement Administration.
