Press Release  Herring pleads guilty, sent to jail

PITTSFIELDA Pittsfield man pleaded guilty this afternoon in Berkshire Superior Court to drug charges. 35 year old TIMOTHY J. HERRING appeared before Judge John Agostini.

HERRING pleaded guilty to one (1) count of POSSESSION OF HEROIN WITH INTENT TO DISTRIBUTE and one (1) count of POSSESSION OF COCAINE. Judge Agostini ordered that he serve an 18 month sentence to the Berkshire County House of Correction on the charge of POSSESSION OF HEROIN WITH INTENT TO DISTRIBUTE. HERRING was given a concurrent 1 year sentence on the other charge.

The charges stem from a motor vehicle stop in Lanesborough on March 19, 2016.

The investigation was conducted by members of the Lanesborough Police Department.
