News  Hey Worcester! Learn to fish with MassWildlife

MassWildlife is hosting a series of learn to fish events in Worcester.

Learn to set up your rod, tie knots, cast, and identify fish. Events are free, family friendly, and open to all skill levels. No fishing license is required. Bring your own fishing equipment or borrow ours. Limited gear and bait will be provided. 

Space is limited, and registration is required. You’ll be emailed additional information leading up to the event. Participants will be notified by email if a clinic is canceled due to weather. Email Jim Lagacy at jim.lagacy@mass.gov with any questions. These events are being held in cooperation with MassWildlife's Angler Education Program and the City of Worcester Department of Sustainability and Resilience – Lakes and Ponds Program.

Learn to fish festivalGreenhill Park PondSunday, June 22, 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.Join us at this free family friendly fishing festival! Stay for as long or short as you would like from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. Instructors will be on hand to teach you the basics and help you as you practice fishing. Click here to register
