We are proud to recognize Eileen Walls for her ongoing dedication to restoring Veterans’ gravestones in Abington’s Mount Vernon Cemetery. Since 2024, Eileen has been meticulously cleaning and preserving headstones using proper restoration techniques and safe materials to ensure each stone is treated with the utmost care.

Beyond her restoration work, Eileen takes time to research the lives of the Veterans she honors, often visiting the Dyer Memorial Library to learn their stories and document their service. She records each restoration with before-and-after photos, preserving not only the stones themselves but also the legacies they represent.

Through her thoughtful work, Eileen helps ensure that the memory of those who served is preserved with the dignity, respect, and gratitude they deserve.
