PITTSFIELDA Holyoke man pleaded guilty this morning in Berkshire Superior Court to several charges. 24 year old VARIAN C. LEFEBVRE appeared before Judge John Agostini.

LEFEBVRE pleaded guilty to one (1) count of ILLEGAL POSSESSION OF A LARGE CAPACITY WEAPON and one (1) count of POSSESSION OF AMMUNITION WITHOUT A FIREARM IDENTIFICATION CARD. Those charges stem from the execution of a search warrant at 144 Brayton Hill Terrace in North Adams on December 6, 2016.

LEFEBVRE also pleaded guilty to one (1) count of POSSESSION OF HEROIN WITH INTENT TO DISTRIBUTE in connection with the execution of a search warrant in Williamstown on January 18, 2017.

Judge Agostini ordered that LEFEBVRE serve concurrent 2 and a half to 4 year state prison sentences at the Massachusetts Correctional Institution at Cedar Junction on the charges of POSSESSION OF HEROIN WITH INTENT TO DISTRIBUTE and ILLEGAL POSSESSION OF A LARGE CAPACITY WEAPON. He was given a concurrent house of correction sentence on the other charge.

One (1) count of CONSPIRACY TO VIOLATE DRUG LAWS, TO WIT: POSSESSION OF HEROIN WITH INTENT TO DISTRIBUTE, one (1) count of ILLEGAL POSSESSION OF A LARGE CAPACITY FEEDING DEVICE and one (1) count of IMPROPER STORAGE OF A LARGE CAPACITY FIREARM were dismissed at the request of the Commonwealth.

The investigations were conducted by members of the Dalton, Williamstown and North Adams Police Departments, the Berkshire County Sheriff’s Office and state troopers assigned to the District Attorney’s Office, members of the Berkshire Law Enforcement Task Force.
