Press Release  Lorette pleads guilty to a drug charge

PITTSFIELDA Lenox woman pleaded guilty this morning in Berkshire Superior Court to a drug charge.  38 year old TINA M. LORETTE appeared before Judge John Agostini.

LORETTE pleaded guilty to one (1) count of POSSESSION OF HEROIN WITH INTENT TO DISTRIBUTE.  Judge Agostini ordered her to serve one year of a 2 year sentence to the Hampden County House of Correction.  LORETTE was also placed on probation for 2 years on the condition she refrain from using illegal drugs and alcohol, undergo testing and continue drug counseling during the probationary period.  LORETTE will begin serving her sentence on April 20, 2018.    

The charge stems from a motor vehicle stop in Pittsfield on February 10, 2017.         

Two (2) counts of DISTRIBUTION OF HEROIN were dismissed at the request of the Commonwealth. 

The investigation was conducted by members of the Pittsfield and Dalton Police Departments, the Berkshire County Sheriff’s Office and state troopers assigned to the District Attorney’s Office, members of the Berkshire Law Enforcement Task Force.
