Lowell District Court Probation staff supported up and coming fashion designers enrolled in Lasell University's Fashion Program and a charitable event hosted by the school and the foundation of National Basketball Association (NBA) Player Terance Mann of the Los Angeles Clippers who established The Terrance Mann Complete Player Foundation. Mr. Mann is a Lowell native.

The Lowell Probation staff attended the “Runway Show,” with proceeds benefitting the Lowell Boys & Girls Club. The staff had the opportunity to interact with Mr. Mann who hosted "The Fashion Showcase" segment of the event. The Lowell Probation staff also met the reigning Miss Massachusetts Kiersten Khoury. This community event is one of more than 80 events MPS staff have participated in or hosted across the Commonwealth. Community engagement is a top priority of Probation Commissioner Pamerson Ifill and his Executive Leadership Team.

The Runway Show was described as "a dazzling runway event showcasing the brilliant creations of the student designer winners from the Lasell University Fashion Program." The event took place Lowell Memorial Auditorium.

“We at the court came together to support students from the community who attend Lasell University, the school’s fashion program and the charitable efforts to support the Lowell Boys & Girls Club. It was great to also connect with LA Clippers player Terance Mann, who is from Lowell, and witness the work he does for his foundation which benefits young people in his hometown and beyond,” said Probation Officer (PO) Stephania Cueva. “It was also great to meet the reigning Miss Massachusetts Kiersten Khoury.”

Along with PO Cueva, Associate Probation Officer Tyler Brant, PO’s Marcos Martinez, Joshua Garcia and Danielle Garcia as well as ACPO Daniel Rourke, and the court’s Victim Witness Advocate (VWA) Margaret Rutledge are among the staff that attended the event.

Mr. Mann established The Terrance Mann Complete Player Foundation "to empower underrepresented youth by providing them unparalleled access to private and preparatory schooling, coupled with the tools necessary to chase their athletic and academic dreams. The Foundation envisions a world where every child, regardless of their background, has the opportunity to excel and lead a life of success and fulfillment.”
