Press Release  Luczynski pleads guilty, sent to prison

PITTSFIELDA North Adams man pleaded guilty this afternoon in Berkshire Superior Court to firearm and drug charges.  34 year old JOSHUA A. LUCZYNSKI appeared before Judge John Agostini. 

LUCZYNSKI pleaded guilty to one (1) count of POSSESSION OF HEROIN WITH INTENT TO DISTRIBUTE, one (1) count of POSSESSION OF COCAINE WITH INTENT TO DISTRIBUTE, one (1) count of ARMED CAREER FELON, one (1) count of ILLEGAL OWNERSHIP OF A FIREARM, RIFLE OR SHOTGUN and one (1) count of IMPROPER STORAGE OF A FIREARM, RIFLE OR SHOTGUN.  Judge Agostini ordered that he serve concurrent 4 to 5 year state prison sentences at the Massachusetts Correctional Institution at Cedar Junction on the charges of POSSESSION OF HEROIN WITH INTENT TO DISTRIBUTE, POSSESSION OF COCAINE WITH INTENT TO DISTRIBUTE and ARMED CAREER FELON.  LUCZYNSKI was given concurrent house of correction sentences on the other charges. 

The charges stem from the execution of a search warrant on Murray Avenue in North Adams on September 28, 2017.    

The investigation was conducted by members of the North Adams Police Department, the Berkshire County Sheriff’s Office and state troopers assigned to the District Attorney’s Office, members of the Berkshire Law Enforcement Task Force.
