Media Contact for Mackie pleads guilty to narcotics charges

PITTSFIELD — A Pittsfield man pleaded guilty this morning in Berkshire Superior Court to drug charges. 38 year old DAVID S. MACKIE appeared before Judge Daniel Ford.
MACKIE pleaded guilty to one (1) count of POSSESSION OF HEROIN WITH INTENT TO DISTRIBUTE, one (1) count of POSSESSION OF COCAINE WITH INTENT TO DISTRIBUTE, one (1) count of POSSESSION OF OXYCODONE WITH INTENT TO DISTRIBUTE, one (1) count of POSSESSION OF CLONAZEPAM WITH INTENT TO DISTRIBUTE and one (1) count of POSSESSION OF LORAZEPAM WITH INTENT TO DISTRIBUTE. Judge Ford ordered him to serve 29 days of a two year sentence to the Berkshire County House of Correction. MACKIE was also placed on probation for two years on the condition he remain drug and alcohol free and continue counseling.
The charges stem from the execution of a search warrant at his High Street home on January 8, 2018.
The investigation was conducted by members of the Pittsfield and North Adams Police Departments, the Berkshire County Sheriff’s Department and State Troopers assigned to the District Attorney’s Office, members of the Berkshire Law Enforcement Task Force.
