The Malden District and Cambridge District Probation hosted a Job Fair on June 11th that featured tables set up for resume writing, interview skills, CORI-friendly employers, and Dress for Success at the Medford-based courthouse. Woburn Community Justice Support Center (CJSC) and representatives from MassHire were also on site.

Lunch was provided to all who attended the Job Fair and anyone from the public who stopped into the Probation Department throughout the day, according to Marisa Cogliandro-Vaughan, Malden District Court Chief Probation Officer.

“Lots of connections were made with our court-involved population, and community residents who obtained valuable job information and resources. Many young men took advantage of the dress shirts and ties, and even participated in a “how to tie a tie”, presentation by Malden District Probation Officer (PO) II Timothy Labelle and Salem District PO Sean Whalen,” said CPO Cogliandro-Vaughan.

She added, “A special thanks to Whalen from Salem DC who assisted us with the Resume Writing table, and the CJSC and MassHire for their valuable resources! Overall, the day was a great success, and we further reinforced the power probation has to make a true difference in the lives of those we serve.”
