Marlboro District Court Probation Department recently hosted its 3rd Annual Pie Tasting Contest and kicked off its annual food drive.

The pies—homemade and store-bought—included apple, cherry, blueberry, pumpkin, and lemon meringue as well as strawberry cheesecake and more.

This year’s donation of non-perishable food, which will benefit the Hudson Community Food Bank, is one of the court’s largest, according to staff.

The Food Bank’s mission statement is: “We aim to find a permanent solution to end poverty and hunger for as long as our society struggles.”
