PITTSFIELDA Pittsfield man was arraigned this afternoon in Berkshire Superior Court on several charges.  71 year old DANIEL J. MARSHALL (349 West Housatonic Street) appeared before Judge John Agostini.

MARSHALL had not guilty pleas entered on his behalf on two (2) counts of CONSPIRACY TO TRAFFICK PERSONS FOR SEXUAL SERVITUDE, one (1) count of MAINTAINING A HOUSE OF PROSTITUTION, two (2) counts of PAYING FOR SEXUAL CONDUCT and one (1) count of DERIVING SUPPORT FROM PROSTITUTION.  Judge Agostini released him on $500 bail.   

It is alleged that MARSHALL conspired to traffick women to engage in commercial sexual activity.  The incidents are alleged to have occurred in Pittsfield between February 1, 2017 and December 31, 2017.     

The investigation was conducted by members of the Pittsfield Police Department.
