How to help kids manage stress

Sometimes we overlook the fact that children experience stress too. The reality is that they have to navigate life challenges just like adults, while also balancing studying, their school and family lives, and a variety of high pressure situations.

While some stress can be energizing and act as a motivator, it can be an issue when kids are dealing with more stress than they can manage.

Identifying when your child is feeling stressed can be challenging, but keep an eye out for common indicators to increase awareness and offer your child assistance. Irritability, anger, negative changes in behavior, new or reoccurring fears, avoiding parents or friends, or excessively clinging to parents or guardians are just some of the clues.
